THE ACADEMY
2024 Spring Academy Season
​
The Academy is the heart of our club, providing professional, age-appropriate soccer coaching to youth aged 5 to 10 years old. We welcome all new and experienced soccer players into the academy.

We strive to create team environments in which every player can be successful. Players will be placed into a team with others of similar age and ability.
​
We are proud to offer gender specific teams as well as co-ed teams.
​
Your child's enrolment in the VRFC Academy will include:
1) Two training sessions per week
Our team training will take place on Monday and Friday evenings on UBC's turf fields or inside at Carnarvon Elementary School.
Monday evening classes will focus on foundational skill acquisition. Each player will have a ball at their feet for the majority of the session to maximize their development and confidence.
Our Friday sessions will comprise of non-competitive games in which we will play VRFC teams against one another to put our learnings into practice.

2) Top quality coaching from a certified team
To ensure our players are receiving quality training, our team of energetic and experienced coaches hold recognized coaching certifications. They are experienced in coaching children aged 2-19 all over the world, including the UK, China, USA, and Canada.
Your player will stay with the same coaching team through the season so they can bond with their coach and form authentic connections with their teammates.
3) Exceptional learning opportunities
VRFC players will have the chance to play against other teams in the lower mainland via exhibition matches and tournaments.
Players can also sign up additional training through our small group sessions.

We also host community events throughout the year to allow our players to be apart of something bigger.
Training Schedule & Location
The Spring season will run from April 8th to June 21st for a total of 21 training sessions.
There will also be no training on May 20th (Victoria Day).
At UBC, we will train at Warren Field on Mondays and MacInnes Field on Fridays.
At Carnarvon Elementary, we will train in the school gym on both Mondays and Fridays.
Training Times

At our UBC locations, sessions will run from 5.00-6.00pm with players being split by age and gender.
​
At Carnarvon Elementary, sessions for U6-U8 players will run from 6.00pm to 7.00pm and sessions for U11-U9 players will run from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. Please note there are limited spots for these sessions.

Club Kit
​
All new players to the 2024 season are recommended to purchase an official Vancouver Rangers Kit. The cost is $125.00 and this can be purchased here.
​
Club Fees
​
The Academy fee for the Spring season is $395. This fee covers all 21 sessions from April to June.
