THE ACADEMY

2023 Spring Academy Season

The Academy is the heart of our club, providing professional, age-appropriate soccer coaching to youth aged 5 to 9 years old. We welcome all new and experienced soccer players into the academy.

We strive to create team environments in which every player can be successful. Players will be placed into a team with others of similar age and ability. Where possible we will create boys teams and girls teams.

Your child's enrolment in the VRFC Academy will include:

1) Two training sessions per week

Our team training will take place on Monday and Friday evenings at Charleson Park.

Monday evening classes will be focused on foundational skill acquisition. Each player will have a ball at their feet for the majority of the session to maximize their development and confidence.

Our Friday sessions will comprise of non-competitive games in which we will play VRFC teams against one another to put our learnings into practice.

2) Top quality coaching from a certified team

To ensure our players are receiving quality training, our team of energetic coaches hold recognized coaching qualifications. They are experienced in coaching children aged 2-19 all over the world, including the UK, China, USA, Brazil and Canada.

Your player will stay with the same coaching team through the season so they can bond with their coach and form authentic connections with their teammates.

Training Schedule & Location

The Spring season will run from April 17th to June 23rd for a total of 19 training sessions. There will be no training on the following date:

May 22nd (Victoria Day)

We will train at the Charleson Park at False Creek.

Open to players aged 5-10 (2018-2013)

Training Times

There will be two training times you can choose from: 5.00-6.00pm or 6.00-7.00pm

We will do our best to accommodate your preferred training time. For some age groups, training times for may be moved to the earlier or later slot dependant on how many enrolees there are in that age group.

Club Fees

The Academy fee for the full Spring season is $350.00.

Kit Fee

All new players who wish to purchase an Adidas match kit can do so. Although not compulsory for Spring season if you intend on participating in our regular Sep-March season then it may be worthwhile to purchase now. The cost is $125.00 and this can be purchased on the registration page below.
