SPRING ACADEMY KITS SECONDARY

2026 Spring Academy Season

The Academy is central to our club’s player development, offering professional, age-appropriate soccer coaching for players aged 5–12. We welcome both new and experienced players into a supportive learning environment.

We aim to create positive team environments where every player can develop and succeed. Players are grouped with others of similar age, gender and ability to support learning, confidence, and enjoyment of the game.

Training Schedule & Location

The Spring Academy runs from March 30 to June 19 and includes 22 training sessions.

There will be no training on April 3 (Good Friday) or May 18 (Victoria Day).

Training takes place on Monday and Friday evenings at Kitsilano Secondary Turf.

2) Professional, certified coaching

All Spring Academy sessions are delivered by professional, certified coaches — not parent volunteers — ensuring a consistent and high-quality learning experience for every player.

Our coaching team is energetic, experienced, and fully certified, with backgrounds coaching children aged 2–19 in Canada and internationally.

Players remain with the same coaching team throughout the season, allowing coaches to build strong relationships with players and create positive, connected team environments.

1) Two training sessions per week

Monday sessions focus on foundational skill development, with players spending the majority of the session on the ball to build technique, confidence, and comfort in possession.

Friday sessions are built around non-competitive, game-based activities, where VRFC teams play against one another to apply skills in realistic game situations.

2) Weekend Games

All players U8-U12 (2018-2014) have the opportunity to participate in the Cascadia Spring League. These games will take place on Saturdays across Metro Vancouver with players matched up against other local clubs.

If interested in participating please notify us during the registration process so we can reach out and provide more information. There will be an additional charge for game participation which will be finalized once we finalize squad numbers.

3) Exceptional learning opportunities

The Spring Academy is designed as a development-focused lead-in to the Fall and Winter seasons, giving players time to build skills, confidence, and connections within the club.

Players train in stable team environments, allowing coaches to introduce playing concepts and help players become comfortable with teammates they may continue with in the following season.

Spring is also an ideal entry point for new players, offering a welcoming, low-pressure environment to learn, improve, and become part of the VRFC community.

Club Kit

All new players are recommended to purchase an official Vancouver Rangers Kit. The cost is $125.00 and this can be purchased below. This is only compulsory for Spring season if participating in Cascadia league but is required for Fall/Winter.

"Vancouver Rangers has been an invaluable place for my son to grow and build on his overall confidence and soccer skills over the past two years. He’s more in love with the game than ever and we’ve seen great improvements in his technical skills."
