Future Stars at BC Place
After an exciting FIFA World Cup campaign for team Canada in November 2022, we wanted to find a way to make more memorable soccer moments for the players in our community. One of our goals, at VRFC, has always been to inspire children to dream big.
On April 2nd 2023, we hosted a one-of-a-kind soccer event at BC place which gave players from all over the lower mainland the opportunity to play on the famous Vancouver turf and follow in the footsteps of their national team, and Whitecaps, heroes.

The morning of the event saw over 300 budding soccer stars, aged 2 to 8, take part in HappyFeet classes. In the afternoon, we hosted a 4vs4 non-competitive tournament comprising of nearly 400 players from 48 teams and 12 clubs. Together with cheering parents, coaches and teammates, we created an electrifying atmosphere that promoted the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and learning together.
Following the huge success of our Future Stars event, we plan to take over BC Place again in early 2024.
